Healthy Back's founder, Anthony Mazlish, a former investor turned entrepreneur, was searching for relief from his own back problems when he became frustrated at the lack of options out there. After driving from store to store and still not finding any products to help relieve his pain, Tony, came to a realization: The world needed a store that specializes in the sale of a variety of ergonomically designed products that help relieve back and neck pain, thereby improving daily comfort.

In March of 1994, Healthy Back opened its very first store specializing in economically correct products in Rockville, Maryland. The store exceeded all expectations! Soon, Healthy Back was achieving it's goal to become a specialty retailer and e-tailer making it possible for every customer to "feel better than ever before".

Encouraged by the tremendous response to our first store, the company opened additional stores in the Washington, DC - Metro Area. In October of 1996, the first proto-type store for national expansion opened in Raleigh, NC. Then we grew again in January 1998 by acquiring a back retailer based in San Diego. Then in March of 1999, Healthy Back acquired another back store operator in Denver. Currently the company features 18 stores and a vibrant shopping outlet at www.healthyback.com as well as a catalog for customer convenience.

In addition, we also operate an Office Ergonomic Division with representatives in the major markets.
