Inversion tables by Teeter Hang Ups represent a revolution in back care.
Never before has an inversion table worked with your body the way the EP-series inversion tables do. The union of Flex Technology, combined with time-tested engineering and value-added features, have established them as the best-selling, most popular inversion tables on the market today.
Moves as You Move
The patented Flex Technology design moves with you, accommodating stretches for greater range of motion to promote realignment of the spine and relax muscles. With an ideal surface to encourage body slide for added decompression, the durable construction remains comfortable and features an adjustable head pillow.
Precision Balancing
One-of-a-kind engineering offers smooth rotation and controlled lockout in full inversion.
Peace of Mind
Unlike most fitness products, inversion tables are not required to conform to quality standards for manufacturing. The EP-series inversion tables are voluntarily tested to meet the UL Classification 60601-1, a medical-grade standard. Teeter Hang Ups 5-year Warranty and the 30-day money back guarantee exceed industry standards.
In addition, the Teeter Hang Ups EP-550 Sport Inversion Table includes:
Gravity Boots
Use your Gravity Boots with the table or take them to the gym; great for inverted sit-ups and squats. The Gravity Boots wrap comfortably around each ankle, securing with adjustable, self-locking ratchet buckles. Super-soft 5/8" foam liners are a special blend to give maximum comfort with minimum compression. Made of light, highly durable DuPont Hytrel material for a comfortable fit.
EZ Stretch Traction Handles
With the muscles in your lower back relaxed, pushing on the handles can help to increase traction and enhance your stretching experience. The handles can also be used as a tool for intermittent traction and oscillation.
Physical Benefits:
Almost all of the causes of back pain, including poor posture, spine misalignments and weak back muscles can be attributed to the natural force that gravity puts on your body. Inversion therapy will turn gravity into a force that works for you by allowing you to hang upside down. This allows your body in line with the downward force of gravity, which will increase the space between your vertebrae, relieve pressure on the areas in your back that are in pain, such as the discs, ligaments and nerve roots.
Inside your body the discs separate your vertebrae which is vital as all communication between your brain and your body occur through nerve endings that pass through this vertebrae. Insufficient distance between these vertebrae can cause pressure on these nerve endings which causes back pain. Inversion therapy has been proven to lengthen the space between these vertebrae each session to eliminate the pain that this pressure may cause.
Sitting for a prolonged period of time and/or slouching while seated takes the spine out of its natural alignment and causes discomfort and pain in all areas of the back. During inversion therapy, the downwards gravitational force allows your body to comfortably reconfigure into its natural s-curve shape. This realignment will also reduce the pain that comes from siting in an office chair all day.
Visual Benefits:
Inversion therapy has been shown to improve circulation throughout the body. The human heart generally has to work against the forces of gravity to retrieve blood from the legs and lower torso. The inversion process eases the stress on your heart during this process and can also lead to many long term aesthetic benefits.
The average human body will shrink as an individual reaches an advanced age due to shrinking discs within the body. This shrinking can range from minimal to a couple of inches, however it does not need to occur. Inversion therapy helps maintain the health of these discs which allows individuals to maintain more of their original height.
The ease of circulation during inversion therapy also helps rid the body of varicose veins. These veins can cause pain due to the pressure of pooling blood on the veins, however they are also quite unattractive. Hanging upside down on an inversion table gives the heart gravity's assistance to pull the pooling blood out of the veins and circulate in throughout the body. The elimination of this pooling blood will help ease the pain and get rid of these unsightly veins.
Mental Benefits:
Inversion therapy is not a high stress exercise, however it is known to have similar and even greater mental benefits then exercises such as weight lifting or running on a treadmill. Just as with those other exercises, endorphins are known to be released during inversion therapy. These endorphins are the bodies natural response to many exercises that help reduce pain and cause a feeling of elation. The release of these endorphins, along with the relaxation time that inversion therapy can provide, will help you feel happy and relieve stress.
It has also been argued that inversion therapy can help its users fight the battle against depression. The results caused by the inversion table can be directly linked with the release of endorphins as well as the elimination of pains, however it has been shown that the relaxation and the time to recharge the body on the inversion table can help nullify the feelings of depression as well. In March of 2007, Rosie O'Donnell helped familiarize many people with this means of dealing with depression as she said helped get over her depression by using inversion therapy along with antidepressants.

Ergonomic Flex-Technology
The patented design moves with you, accommodating stretches for greater range of motion. Movement while inverted encourages realignment and relaxes muscles. An adjustable pillow keeps it comfy.
Optimum Decompression Surface
The smooth surface reduces friction, allowing the body to slide and achieve the optimum decompressive stretch.
No Tear, No Stain Construction
Plastic injection-molded construction is more durable than typical nylon or vinyl beds vulnerable to wear and tear. The easy-to-clean surface ensures pristine appearance over years of use.
Ankle Comfort Dial
The new foot platform design dials up or down for smaller or larger feet, allowing a comfortable and secure fit for the ankle clamps.
Precision Balancing
Compared with competing brands, engineering tests have shown that Teeter inversion tables are the most precisely balanced to allow controlled lockout in full inversion.
Pre-set Rotation Control
The adjustable or removable tether strap allows you to easily pre-determine your maximum angle of inversion.

We had the older model. Loved it but sold it to a lady with back issues when we moved into a new, smaller apartment. But I missed stretching my back. And my wife's pinched nerve is back. When our chiropractor asked us if we had one, we said "No, but we are going to order a new one and make room for it."
