90 Day Comfort Guarantee

You may return your Tempur-Pedic® mattress within 90 days of delivery for a full refund, minus shipping and handling. We will arrange for your pickup using our delivery service. In cases of free outbound shipping, a full refund minus a $159 (for the 48 continental states) inbound shipping fee will be credited to your account. In cases of free shipping in Alaska and Hawaii we would charge the customer the actual cost Healthyback.com has been charged for outbound shipping. The credit will be applied within 14 business days after the mattress has been picked up. Please allow 6-8 weeks for the pickup from the date of your call. Email us at service@healthyback.com the day your mattress has been picked up, So that we can expedite your refund.

Tempur-Pedic® Foundations

Tempur-Pedic® Foundations can be returned within 90 days of delivery for a full refund as long as it is returned with the Tempur-Pedic® mattress. If you would like to return the foundation without the mattress, please see the policy for Non Tempur-Pedic® Mattresses / Foundations (Tempur-Pedic® and Healthy Back). It is listed underneath the Mattress Return section.

Adjustable bases

There are no refunds or cancellations for adjustable bases.

Adjustable Base- Can I Use My Current Adjustable Base?

In order to obtain the full benefit of the Adjustable Sleep System, we recommend that you obtain our Adjustable Base. Please note that if you choose to continue using your current base, that we recommend you check with the manufacturer to ensure that you order the correct mattress size.

Adjusting to Mattress- How Long Will It Take?

Some people are completely comfortable on the mattress right away. Others need some time to adjust to the remarkable amount of support and unique pressure relieving feel of the mattress (some call it a "floating" or "light" feeling).

While the mattress is still completely supporting their body, it may take longer for lightweight customers to adjust. The body conforming characteristic may not feel as dramatic as it does for heavier people.

Adjusting to Mattress- Changing Position?

The slow recovery of the mattress to its original shape after conforming to your exact body contours may make it more difficult for you to change position. This is necessary for the mattress to conform to your body to relieve pressure and reduce the need to change position (toss and turn).

Adjusting to Mattress- Sagging in the Middle?

Most frequently what looks like a body indentation occurs when the mattress is on a split foundation. We call this the "W" effect. The mattress will take the shape of its support structure. When two foundations are placed together, a slight "W" may occur where the outer edges of the foundation are slightly raised.

A poor foundation can also cause the appearance of an indentation. A box spring will likely cause the Tempur-Pedic® mattress to sag. If the mattress is supported by a Tempur-Pedic® foundation and is still sagging, the foundation may be damaged.

To determine if the defect is in the mattress or in the support, you can place the mattress on the floor. The mattress should return to proper flatness and supportiveness when placed on the floor if the foundation is at fault.

Flipping, Turning, and Rotating, is it necessary?

Due to the unique construction of the Tempur-Pedic® mattress, it is not necessary for the mattress to be flipped, turned, or rotated.

Foundation- Can I Use My Current Box Springs?

Box springs do not provide the flat, rigid surface that is required for a Tempur-Pedic® Swedish Sleep System. The use of box springs can void the Tempur-Pedic® 20-year warranty.

Infants and Safety

We do not recommend the usage of Tempur-Pedic® mattresses for infants due to the conforming nature of the mattress.

Smell

The TEMPUR® material can have a strong odor when new, resulting from the unique manufacturing process. All polyurethane-based materials possess this characteristic. This is normal, completely non-toxic and harmless. We recognize that it can still be unpleasant to some persons. The odor will dissipate as the mattress cells are manipulated through regular use. Due to the extremely high density of the TEMPUR® material, it may take a few days for this to happen. You can speed the dissipation somewhat by removing the Classic or the Deluxe cover, and leaving it off for a few days. This will allow the mattress to breathe more freely as it is used, and the odor will go away fairly quickly.

Too Cold/Firm Mattress Tips

• If using a conventional mattress pad, it can reduce the therapeutic properties of the Tempur® Material- remove it for a few nights and allow for the mattress to respond to your body temperature.
• We recommend a bedroom temperature of at least 65 F degrees.

Too Soft Mattress Tips

• Use a conventional mattress pad which will decrease the material responsiveness making the mattress seem firmer.
• Turn down the thermostat – if the room is too hot, it can soften the feel of the mattress.

Using Heat with Your Tempur-Pedic® Mattress- Electric Blankets, Heating Pads and Heated Mattress Pads

Can I use an electric blanket with my Tempur-Pedic® Mattress?

• It is not recommended as over time, it can cause damage to the TEMPUR® Material.
• Once in bed, the mattress will quickly respond to your body heat
• If you choose to use an electric blanket, being aware of the potential damage risks, it is recommended the it be turned off after 30 minutes to avoid overexposing TEMPUR® material to high heat.

Heated mattress pads?

• We do not recommend using heated mattress pads.
• Even when not used for heating, the pad will prevent the transfer of body heat into the TEMPUR® material, reducing the therapeutic effect of the mattress.

Heating Pads?

• The use of heating pads on the Tempur-Pedic® mattress is not recommended as it may damage the mattress.
• If you do choose to use a heating pad with awareness of the potential harm, insulate the mattress from the direct heat of the heating pad. A pillow, folded towel, folded blanket, etc. between the mattress and the heating pad will do. If the mattress feels hot, it is getting too much heat and needs more insulation.
